Poster collection for the 13th Beijing International Film Festival
Period of Collection: Now ~ February 28, 2023
Form of Collection: Collect works from the society through online release, public promotion.
Evaluation and Assessment:A professional jury determines prize-winning works.
Procedure of Award:The works are selected for award through internal selection, professional review, public voting, etc.
II. Works Collection
1. Requirements
(I)The designers should express their own artistic passion in their works so as to reflect the professional and international orientation of the BJIFF. The design should include the content of artistic rhetoric and highlight the cultural atmosphere of films without any ambiguity. Meanwhile, it should also display the characteristics and logo of the BJIFF, convey the initiative and positive energy and highlight the unique regional features and culture of the city of Beijing. The posters submitted should include the name of works and brief descriptions.
(II) The works submitted must include the elements as follows:
1. Beijing International Film Festival (LOGO) and "Tiantan Award" trophy;
2. Standard names of the 13th Beijing International Film Festival in Chinese and English
3. The hosts and organizers of the 13th Beijing International Film Festival;
4. Poster Theme
(III) All content in the posters submitted should be original and have never been released in any form as public works before.
2. Notices and Requirements:
(I) Format of Electronic Version: Vertical, JPG format, 300dpi or more, one in RGB, CMYK and JPEG each. The works shortlisted must include the electronic source files in AI or PSD format, and the fonts adopted in posters must be original or Alibaba Sans (Available for free commercial use).
(II) Please log in the BJIFF’s official registration system: http://system.bjiff.com/hbzj/ or official website: http://www.bjiff.com/to download the Beijing International Film Festival (LOGO) and core graphics, and abide by relevant regulations on the usage. Applicants should upload the works and relevant documents via the registration system.
(III) The applicants should sign and submit the Application Form for the 13th BJIFF Poster Collection (signature or official seal or both).
(IV) The works with photos should be attached with the legal certification documents on the authorized use of "portraits" and "photos".
(V) The works submitted must not contain any content that violates the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and any other laws and regulations.
(VI) Neither the works nor the materials submitted infringe any copyright, trademark or other IP right of any third party, nor violate any other right of any third party in any way. I promise that my work does not include any suspicion or plagiarism, piracy, citation of third-party information and unknown behaviors. Once the aforesaid illegal behaviors are discovered, the BJIFF Organizing Committee has the right to terminate the applicant’s qualification and pursue relevant responsibilities.
(VII) The works submitted should not contain any ethnic discrimination, religious discrimination, threats to friendly relationship with neighbor countries or any other content contrary to social morality and customs.
(VIII) The Organizing Committee will not return the submitted works and all the applicants should keep their own drafts properly.
(IX) The applicants should bear all the relevant expenses incurred by themselves.
3. Statement on Copyright:
(I) All designers should guarantee the originality of the submitted works and bear the legal responsibility for any infringement by themselves.
(II) The ownership of all the posters submitted for this activity belongs to the BJIFF Organizing Committee which has the right to reproduce, publish (including electronic publishing), exhibit, promote and relevant advertising and commercial application of all the award-winning posters.
(III) As for the shortlisted works which are excellent in creativity but fail to reflect the full connotation of the film festival, the Organizing Committee has the right to require the original creators to revise the designs. If the satisfactory effect cannot be achieved even after repeated revisions, the Organizing Committee has the right to organize professional designers and institutions to conduct the redesign with the authorization of the original author.
(IV) The original author owns the right of authorship and be awarded with corresponding bonus and honorary certificate.
4. Release of Final Result:
The BJIFF Poster Jury will put forward professional opinions on the works revision and select 10 works as the final winners.
